This is a vintage original National Cash Register Co. lid latch arm. This is the arm that would hold the front lid of your register open.
It is constructed of nickel plated steel. It has been replated and it looks fabulous.
This one is flat and has no offset at the top where it would mount to the lid.
It comes with the special shoulder screw to attach it to your register.
It comes just as you see it.
