Antique / Vintage Cash Register Wooden Transaction Indicator Display Paid Refund

This is an Antique / Vintage Cash Register Wooden Transaction Indicator / Display.
We are not knowledgeable in this area.  The information we were given is that the fitting on the metal rods mates with a corresponding component on the cash register.  The cash register had a window that would show only a single transaction type at time.  When the cash register key corresponding to a particular type of transaction was struck, the corresponding transaction would be shown: Paid, Refund, Cash, or Charge.  We do not know the make or model for which the indicator was made.
The overall total length is 12".  The painted, stenciled section for each transaction is 4 1/2" x 7/8".
Condition:
The indicator is structurally in excellent condition.  The paint condition on the eight transaction type sections varies from very good to heavily worn as seen.  Between the two main photos you can see and evaluate the paint conditions for each section.  There is some variation in the patina of the metal rod.
